Raise your hand if you think a dressing easily makes or breaks the way salad tastes ✋
I’ve always enjoyed eating salad. That said, though, I think I enjoyed eating salad because of the dressing.
This lemon basil tahini dressing is my new favorite dressing to use – and I don’t feel bad using a lot of it (which is an amazing feeling).
I went crazy with salad dressing at one point in my life! Had I known what questionable ingredients I was putting in my body, maybe I wouldn’t have gone overboard all the time (then again, maybe not).
This recipe is so easy to make – I can’t wait for you guys to give it a try 🙂
How to Make Lemon Basil Tahini Dressing
For this recipe, I used:
You could use store-bought tahini if you want, but I made my own for this recipe.
Homemade Tahini Recipe
To make your own tahini, you need:
While making your own tahini isn’t hard, it does require your full attention.
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, toast your sesame seeds until they’re light brown.
They’re easy to burn and that’s the last thing you want!!
Transfer your sesame seeds to a plate and allow them to cool off for 10 minutes. Pop them into a food processor and grind them until a crumbly paste begins to form (this could take up to five minutes).
Add your grapeseed oil to the food processor and mix until smooth and creamy.
That’s all you have to do to make your own tahini! Told you it was simple 😉
Whether you choose to make your own tahini or not, you need it in order to make this tahini dressing.
